Crown Sizing Guide

KTR crowns use a standardized sizing system across both zirconia and stainless steel product lines. Each tooth position has a range of sizes to accommodate natural variation in primary tooth dimensions.

Tips for Selecting the Right Size

1

Start with the second-smallest size

Begin with the second-smallest size for the given tooth and adjust up if the crown does not fully seat. This approach minimizes over-contouring.

2

The zirconia crown should seat with light, passive pressure

A properly sized zirconia crown will seat fully with gentle fingertip pressure. Any resistance or force suggests the crown is too small or additional tooth reduction is needed.

3

The stainless steel crown should snap on with gentle pressure

A properly sized SSC will snap into place with firm but gentle finger pressure. Excessive force suggests the crown is too small.
